The 4 by 6 Bed Frame is a bed handcrafted in Kenya from metal and cypress. The frame is built around four squared timber posts, joined to a blackened metal structure with visible bolt heads left plainly on show. Nothing about the construction is hidden, which is part of its appeal: you can read how the bed is put together simply by looking at it. Metal and cypress carry the design in equal measure. The posts and the central headboard panel show the timber's reddish tone and open grain, while the horizontal bars, uprights and scrolled headboard motif are worked in matte black metal. The footboard repeats the same rhythm of stacked bars in a lower, quieter arrangement. Corners are squared, the silhouette is upright, and the proportions stay narrow enough to sit comfortably against a single wall.
