The Asali Nesting Side Tables are a set of three side tables handcrafted in Kenya. The three pieces are built to the same clean rectangular language so they sit in a row or tuck neatly into one another. Each frame is assembled by hand, and the tops are set flush within the upper rails so the surfaces read as a single continuous plane when the tables are pushed together. The structure is a slim open frame in a warm gold tone, formed from square-profile bars that outline each table as a simple geometric cage. There is no shelf, no apron and no ornament. Above it sits a pale surface with soft grey and charcoal veining, the markings drifting diagonally across one top and pooling into denser clusters on another, so no two tables carry the same pattern.
