The Feruzi Clay Vase Planter is a clay vase planter handcrafted in Kenya. The body rises from a narrow foot into a rounded belly, draws inward at the waist, then opens again into a wide, flared rim. Ridges run across the surface in a herringbone pattern, meeting along a soft central seam. The repetition is close but not mechanical, and small variations in the lines record the hand that shaped them. Clay is the only material here. The form is tall and slender in proportion, and the ribbed relief catches light along each raised edge while the grooves hold shadow, giving the vivid lime green surface depth rather than flatness. The finish reads matte in daylight. The rim is left plain and smooth, a quiet contrast to the textured wall below it. Filled with white pebbles and a spray of blossom, it works as a floor-standing or table vase indoors. On a marble coffee table it holds its own beside stacked books and a candle.
