The Dala Ripple Console Table is a console table handcrafted in Kenya from metal board. Its base is drawn as three concentric rings, each set inside the next, so the whole piece reads as a single line looping back on itself. The making is deliberate: the curves are formed, aligned and joined so the circles hold their spacing without any visible fixing. The table is made of metal board throughout. The rings carry a glossy yellow coating that catches light along the top of each curve and falls into shadow underneath, and they rise from a flat rectangular footplate in the same colour. Above them sits a slim rectangular top with a bright white surface and a narrow yellow edge band that traces the full perimeter. Proportions stay low and wide, with the ringed base filling the space beneath the top rather than hiding in it. This console table suits an entrance hall, a corridor, or the wall behind a sofa in an open living room. The top holds a stack of books, a small lamp, a vase or a bowl for keys without crowding. Placed near a window or under a round mirror, the rings throw curved shadows onto the wall through the day, and the open base keeps a narrow room feeling unblocked.
