The 3 by 6 Children's Bed Frame is a single bed handcrafted in Kenya. It is built in the 3x6 size familiar to Kenyan households, sized for a growing child or a guest room. The making is quiet and deliberate: flat panels, straight posts and turned spindles, assembled so the frame reads as one piece rather than a set of parts. The frame is finished in a soft, even white that sits close to the surface and lets the joins and panel edges stay visible. The headboard is framed with a recessed panel and a low relief motif across its top rail. A short guard rail of evenly spaced spindles runs along one side, open enough to see through and low enough to sit beside. The footboard repeats the panel detail at a lower height, keeping the whole bed light in the room. This bed suits a child's room, a shared bedroom or a small spare room where a single bed needs to feel calm rather than bulky. It sits well against pale or muted walls, on a woven rug, with a low bedside table and a lamp on one side. The open side rail leaves the mattress easy to reach for making the bed and changing linen. Kenyan furniture-making has long been a workshop trade, built on repeated forms refined by hand. Buying through Kamara means buying directly from that workshop tradition, with the maker's decisions about proportion and detail still legible in the finished bed.
