The Dabida Accent Chair is an upholstered accent chair handcrafted in Kenya. Its shape begins as a full circle at the base and rises into a curved, shell-like back, a form that asks for patient shaping rather than speed. The channelled back panels are stitched in even vertical runs, and the seam that wraps the seat cushion follows the curve without interruption. The chair is built as a rounded, drum-style body with a low tub back that sweeps forward into short arms. The upholstery reads as a soft caramel with a lightly mottled, hand-worn surface that shifts tone as the light moves across it. Two slim gold-toned strips are set into the channel seams at the back, breaking up the ribbing with a quiet vertical accent. Small dark feet lift the base just clear of the floor. Placed in a living room, it works as a single reading seat beside a window, or in a pair facing a low table. The circular footprint suits corners and landings where a square-shouldered armchair would feel heavy. On a jute or sisal rug the caramel upholstery sits comfortably against natural fibre and warm timber.
