The Faraja Dining Chair is a metal dining chair handcrafted in Kenya. The frame is drawn from slim round tube, bent into a gentle arch across the top rail and carried down into four tapered legs. Small welded joins and visible fixings sit where the seat meets the frame, marking the points where the chair was assembled rather than hiding them. The structure is metal, finished in a dark tone with a slightly mottled, hand-worked surface that shifts between charcoal and warm brown as the light moves. Seat and back panel are upholstered in a woven fabric with an open, flecked texture, mid-brown against the darker frame. A low cross-stretcher runs between the front legs and again along the sides, while the back panel floats within the arched frame, leaving a narrow gap beneath it. This is an everyday dining chair. It pulls up to a timber table without competing with it, and the compact footprint means several can sit close together for a full table. The upright back suits long meals and doubles as a desk chair or a spare seat at the edge of a living room. On a jute rug or a bare floor, the dark frame reads as a quiet outline.
