The Ninga Sideboard is a low storage sideboard handcrafted in Kenya from mahogany. Its long, floating form is drawn with rounded ends that soften the whole piece, and the three cabinet doors sit almost flush across the front. The result is a quiet horizontal line that carries weight without feeling heavy. The frame is built in mahogany, with a warm mid-brown surface that lets the grain read clearly across the doors and the curved returns at each end. The doors are handle-free, opening on a clean edge, so the front stays uninterrupted. The top is a single continuous plane, rounded at both corners to match the profile of the body. This sideboard suits a living room, where its length works well beneath a wall-mounted screen and its cabinets hold everything you would rather not see. The flat top holds a table lamp, a ceramic vase, a shallow bowl. It also settles into a hallway or a dining room as a serving and storage surface. In soft evening light the timber deepens in tone. Kamara works with independent makers across Kenya, and each sideboard is built by hand rather than pressed out in a factory line. Small variations in grain and surface are part of that process, marks of a piece made by a person. Buying through Kamara connects you directly to that maker and to a living tradition of Kenyan woodwork.
