The Abasi Sideboard is a sideboard handcrafted in Kenya from board. It is built as a long, low storage piece for the wall a television sits on, with an asymmetric silhouette that steps up at one end into a small open display shelf. The stepped profile is the defining gesture here, and it has been set out so the two heights read as one continuous line rather than two separate cabinets. The construction is board throughout. The case is finished in white, set on a dark recessed plinth so the body appears to float slightly above the floor. A single wide drawer in black carries a pattern of thin gold lines that fracture across its face, opened by a slim gold pull. Above and beside the drawer sit open compartments in graduated depths, and the top surface is a pale marbled panel veined in soft gold, edged with a dark band that repeats the plinth. This sideboard suits a living room wall beneath a mounted screen, where the open bays take a console, a soundbar or a short row of books, and the drawer absorbs remotes and cables.
