The Kefa Sofa is an upholstered two-seat sofa handcrafted in Kenya on a bluegum frame. Its shape is drawn in curves rather than corners, with a low back cushion that runs the width of the seat and arms that roll forward in a full, rounded profile. The maker has kept the silhouette quiet, letting proportion do the work instead of ornament. Bluegum forms the structure beneath the upholstery. The visible surface is a pale cream fabric with a soft, brushed nap that catches light differently across the seat and arm. A slim tan piping traces the outer edge of the arm, drawing a single warm line around the front of the sofa. Loose seat and back cushions sit on a plinth base, and short dark feet lift the whole piece just clear of the floor. The sofa suits a living room where daylight is the main source of light, and it reads comfortably against pale timber flooring, a light oak sideboard or a woven jute rug. The flat top of the arm holds a stack of books or a pair of glasses without ceremony. Add a textured cushion and a throw for contrast, or leave it plain and let the curve stand on its own. Kamara works with makers across Kenya who build furniture by hand, one piece at a time. Buying through Kamara means your money goes to the workshop that did the work, and it means owning a sofa with the small variations that come from being made by a person rather than a production line.
